Shaping DFW: Mother Beverage

Meet Stephen and Allison Ellsworth, co-founders of Mother Beverage in Dallas, Texas.

Allison began her career as an independent contractor in oil and gas. Since she was constantly on the road, it was hard to stay healthy and eat the right foods. After not feeling herself for quite some time and not being able to get any answers from doctors, Allison did her own research and found that drinking Apple Cider Vinegar daily was the key to her recovery. She eventually was able to stop taking all of her medications but still struggled to drink the bitter drink every morning.

That’s when Allison had the idea to infuse the vinegars with a variety of fruits. Friends and family started putting in order requests and Allison’s home-made drinks turned into a bustling company: Mother Beverage.

When the oil and gas industry was suffering at the end of 2015, the Ellsworths decided to use their life savings to go all in with Mother Beverage. The couple bought a house, had a baby and started the company all in the span of six months.

One day, Mother Beverage had a demonstration at the Farmer’s Market when a buyer for Whole Foods pulled Allison aside and said she wanted to sell their drinks in the stores. Mother Beverage then also won the BevNet new industry showdown for the non-alcoholic beverage industry.

At Cadillac, we celebrate those whose passion and vision have reshaped our city, our lives and our culture - including Allison and Stephen’s courage to follow their dreams and inspire others.

Their continuous passion makes them one of the dedicated and driving persons shaping Dallas/Fort Worth.
