Chef Andrew Powers grew up in Seguin, TX; a small town outside of San Antonio. He claims it was in his earliest years, on a wildlife farm and watching his father that his love and passion for cooking came to be. After traveling the country, and the world, he’s settled in Plano, TX to open up Dee Lincoln’s second flagship restaurant, Dee Lincoln’s Steak Bar. The Plano location is more casual than the uptown location many came to know. Located at 4701 West Park Blvd., the menu is still approachable but takes on a chef-inspired flair.
“Chef Powers has that rustic sensibility while at the same time refined cooking that is perfect for this restuarnt. He also understands the importance of providing only the best product possible and goes out of his way working with the farmers and purveyors on sourcing,” says Lincoln.
You’ll find tons of Texas-sized flavors in Chef Powers’ dishes including chilies, smoke and even some Cajun and Louisiana influence here and there. And Chef Powers promises that just because he’s moved to the ‘burbs, there’s no lack of flavor or spice.
